Single Point of Contact

COMMUNITY POLICING

Our SBHOA Security Officer, Jo Collins has been in contact with the Southend Community Policing Team who have provided a named Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for beach hut crimes and issues.

This will assist in ensuring one person has a good overview of what is happening in the area and also provide consistency rather than having to relay the same information to multiple people.

Also, Jo wants to make sure we're aware of all crimes or incidents that happen, not just those posted on Facebook.

Currently, we might miss incidents reported directly to the police or council resulting in our being unable to advise members to take precautions.

The allocated SPOC is PCSO Jacqueline Twidell.

Jo is working with her to refresh the crime prevention advice we give to members to ensure it is current. This is also a good opportunity to build our relationship with the police and community safety team at the council to ensure we have good links with them, when needed.
