SECURITY

Beachhut Logo.png

SBHOA

The SBHOA can offer advice to beach hut owners regarding rough sleepers, anti-social behaviour or other crime but, we do not report such instances on behalf of the owner.

As the owner affected and with first hand knowledge of the facts they will need to make the reports to the relevant agencies. They will receive the same level of service as a hut owner as we would get making the reports from the association.

OWNERS REPORTING CRIME

In relation to the Rough Sleepers this should be reported to the council via Steet Link

https://thestreetlink.org.uk/ as these are the appropriate agency to deal with this.

If there is associated AntiSocial Behaviour (ASB) this should be reported to either the council on the following link https://www.southend.gov.uk/xfp/form/14 or the police

https://www.essex.police.uk/ro/report/asb/asb-v3/report-antisocial-behaviour/ or both.

If there has been a Crime committed such as the swearing which may amount to a public order offence then you can report this here https://www.essex.police.uk/ro/report/ocr/af/how-to-report-a-crime/

Should you need police assistance whilst at your hut which requires them to attend ie: you feel in danger or threatened then you should call 999 in an emergency or 101.
